Over the past few years green roofs have become a common solution in urban constructio not only aesthetically pleasing but also very beneficial for the environment. In big cities where pollution is a huge issue this solution helps to create better quality of life for the inhabitants.
Green roofs not only improve air quality but also retain rainwater. They can by used as comunity gardens, recreational or commercial space etc.They also provide job opportunities in areas such as design, installation and maintenance of the green spaces. There are a lot of benefits of living or working in buildings fitted with green roofs, for example lower levels of noise and reduction of electromagnetic radiation due to insulation from layers of soil and foliage. These roofs can reduce the amount of energy that is needed to regulate temperature inside the building by preventing heat loss in the winter. It's important to know that although there are similarites, not every green roof is the same. Their design and purpose differ by region, climate, building, requirements of the investor.
